The networks are home to 10 professional sports teams, delivering live games of the New York Knicks; New York Rangers; New York Islanders; New Jersey Devils; Buffalo Sabres; New York Liberty; New York Red Bulls and the Westchester Knicks, as well as coverage of the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills. Each year, MSG and MSG+ collectively telecast approximately 500 live professional games, along with a comprehensive lineup of other sporting events, including college football and basketball, and critically-acclaimed original programming. The gold standard for regional broadcasting, MSG Networks has won 162 New York Emmy Awards over the past ten years.

The Public Relations Director is responsible for pitching and securing media placements for MSG Network, MSG+, MSG GO and its programming, talent, and online activations and platforms. In addition, this position liaises between all departments to ensure that the PR department is exploiting all relevant integrations and partnerships. The PR director also handles internal communication for MSG Networks and crafts messages on behalf of senior staff when appropriate.


In addition, the PR Director manages various award submissions on behalf of the networks and programming/talent.



  • 5-10 years of experience pitching and securing national and local media with solid track record of delivering press coverage and established relationships with the media.
  • Experience drafting memos/talking points for senior staff and an understanding of internal communications for employees.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and use good judgment when responding to media and consumer inquires.



  • Background in sports and/or entertainment public relations with knowledge of trade media
