Overview

An industry leader in sports production, and content development and distribution, MSG Networks Inc. owns and operates two award-winning regional sports and entertainment networks, MSG Network (MSG) and MSG+, and a live streaming and video on demand platform, MSG GO. The networks are home to 10 professional sports teams, delivering live games of the New York Knicks; New York Rangers; New York Islanders; New Jersey Devils; Buffalo Sabres; New York Liberty; New York Red Bulls and the Westchester Knicks, as well as coverage of the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills. Each year, MSG and MSG+ collectively telecast approximately 500 live professional games, along with a comprehensive lineup of other sporting events, including college football and basketball, and critically-acclaimed original programming. The gold standard for regional broadcasting, MSG Networks has won 162 New York Emmy Awards over the past ten years.

Responsibilities

This program is designed to create real & valuable opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to learn, grow and explore MSG Networks Inc. and gain valuable experience they can use throughout their careers. We offer a hands on experience where our students are given meaningful work and are valued parts of the company. While participating in the Student Associate Program, students will have the opportunity to work with our employees to get a full understanding of the business as well get exposure to the most senior level executives of the company.

 

Student opportunities are available in the following areas:

  • Television Production
  • Production Operations/Administration
  • Marketing
  • On-Air Promotions
  • Communications/Public Relations
  • Accounting
  • Website/Digital Products

Qualifications

We are looking for hard working, determined and self-motivated candidates with solid communication, time management and interpersonal skills. We want candidates who act professionally and have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. 

 

  • Must be currently enrolled in college and working toward a four year or graduate degree as a Junior or above
  • Provide a letter from your school verifying enrollment (upon offer)
  • College credit is based on individual school policy; it is not required for program
  • Student Associates may work a minimum of a 21 hour work week and a maximum 35 hour work week (35 hours preferred)
  • GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred
  • Available to work from approximately September through December
