    Responsibilities

    The Visiting TV Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for the scheduling of technical staff for all visiting TV telecasts at Madison Square Garden during the NHL and NBA seasons. This includes working with visiting TV contacts to understand all crew requirements, and booking crews accordingly on a game by game basis. This role is responsible for checking in and releasing visiting TV crews on game days throughout the season (which includes nights, weekends, and holidays), and approving all working hours of these technicians for each game day. The supervisor will work closely with the home Technical Manager to trouble-shoot last minute staffing issues.  The supervisor will also work closely with production staff regarding any staffing issues. This person will also be the liaison with Gamecreek Video to ensure the correct facilities levels for all visiting TV telecasts.

    • Coordinate schedules of approximately 200 freelance technicians for visiting TV telecasts.
    • Making sure the schedules are posted and up to date on a daily basis.
    • Process weekly payroll of visiting TV crews, and billing of visiting TV entities. 
    • Trouble-shoot last minute schedule changes relating to technical personnel due to sickness or absence.
    • Work with a firm understanding of union workers rules in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
    • Oversee visiting TV crews working on site during Knicks and Rangers games.
    • Responsible for developing post-game report and distributing it to all appropriate Operations personnel.
    • Manage relationship of the production teams regarding staffing issues and requests.
    • Assist Manager Network Operations in supporting other departmental scheduling needs including crewing for home events, studio events, and provide miscellaneous administrative support to Network and Technical Ops department.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Detail oriented and extremely organized in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Organization and decision-making skills
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Technical knowledge of the TV industry
    • Working knowledge of the operational components of a TV Control Room, as well as a TV Mobile Unit
    • At least one year of experience working in television scheduling
    • Working knowledge of computers, especially Word and Excel. 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Media Pulse a plus.
